MarketChoice Protected
A discretionary goodwill Guarantee up to CAD $1,000 per eligible job.
This is NOT insurance and NOT a regulated insurance product. Personal insurance remains primary. MarketChoice decides review requests in its sole discretion.
Eligible jobs
The Protected badge means your job was booked and paid through Stripe Connect on MarketChoice, including funds held at booking or released after completion. Refunded jobs are not Protected. Holding booking funds is separate from this discretionary Guarantee and does not expand its benefits.
Payments or work arranged off-platform — including e-transfer, cash or Venmo — void MarketChoice Protected.
Request a review
The signed-in customer or helper can select “Request guarantee review” on an eligible completed, paid job within 30 days of the confirmed payment. Booking funds must have been released; held or refunded bookings do not enable Guarantee requests. The existing 30-day window starts when payment is confirmed.
Include the amount requested and what happened. Every request is reviewed manually. There are no automated payouts, and submitting a review request does not guarantee payment.

Off-platform payment voids MarketChoice Protected. This discretionary goodwill Guarantee is not insurance. The maximum is CAD $1,000 per eligible Stripe-paid job, with a 30-day review-request window.
